Outlands opens on bright lemon and bergamot, touched with Sichuan pepper and cardamom. The heart turns to anise, saffron and cumin, then drifts into dry rose and geranium. The base, amber and balsamic, gathers benzoin, labdanum and oud into a warm woody depth. Wear it on cold evenings, when the air carries a trace of wood smoke.
